For God so loved the world He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
“Father, what a joyous season. There’s so much to look forward to. I love everything about it. May I always carry that childlike anticipation as I share the good news what You did that first Christmas, Lord. It’s the greatest story ever. Amen.” ~ 365 Gifts
Seasons, days, moments are gifts – blessings, really. Because if there’s one thing that 2021 has taught me is that time is God’s greatest gift to us. Make the most of it.
Treasure the holidays and those you love. Indulge in that one last bite of your favorite treat, no calorie counting allowed, and washing it down with a rich cup of hot chocolate. Relax into the arms of your sweetheart, watching The Grinch, or Die Hard or White Christmas or whatever is on, savoring just being. Take the picture you don’t want to take. Don’t hide from the video. Smile big, say hello, wave, and dance your way through the season like the child you used to be. Because all too soon this Christmas Eve and then this Christmas will be lost to memories, buried in an avalanche of adult daily to-dos.
So make the most of this joyous season – especially when it may not feel very joyous at all, being 2021 after all. And know that my biggest Christmas wish for all of you is lots and lots of love.
Merry Christmas!
