Can’t Stop The Feeling

Coloring our world with music on day 4 of @positivelypresent 2019 gratitude challenge.

Music brings us together, it lifts souls and goes beyond language. It paints ornate masterpieces without lifting a single brush. It’s a magical energy of sound and vibration coloring our world one note at a time, moving us along in a wake of emotions cresting and falling until the music fades, linger in minds long after.

It doesn’t matter what part of the world you live in, what political party you belong to or who you love, music has a way of bringing everyone together in an unifying canvas of humanity. That’s the beauty of music. Because who doesn’t love music?

Can’t Stop The Feeling

Music is also a time machine taking us back in space and time, evoking emotions just like the first time we heard it. You know as soon as the song plays those memories start playing like a movie in your mind – the good, the bad and the ones you want to forget…oh, maybe that’s just me.

Today driving home from work “Can’t Stop The Feeling” came on the radio. Instantly I time traveled to dancing with my grand daughter along to the music while we watched Trolls for the countless time together. Every time I hear it makes me think of her and how much I love her. Good times. Good song to dance to. Good memories. Good emotions. Music is kinda magic that way.

Everybody sing (I can’t stop the feelin’)
Got this feeling in my body (I can’t stop the feelin’)
Got this feeling in my body (I can’t stop the feelin’)
Wanna see you move your body (I can’t stop the feelin’)
Got this feelin’ in my body
Break it down
Got this feelin’ in my body (ah)
Can’t stop the feelin’
Got this feelin’ in my body, come on (ooh)
