Day 2 of 14 Affirmation Challenge begins with me pulling a card from Louise Hays and Robert Holden’s life loves you cards. It’s an adorable, and sometimes thought-provoking-hit-you-in-the-gut-kinda deck with 52 cards that will wake you up.
And what’s not to love about that? Mmmm don’t answer that quite yet.

Can you hear that?
That’s the Universe chuckling, pushing me out of my comfort zone. My fingers twitch, wanting to stuff the card back, shuffling the discomfort away. Sigh.
I can’t do that.
You see, I can’t do that because it’s exactly what I need to hear. Jiminy Cricket.
Between you, me and the internet I’ll let you in on a not so little secret… I’m struggling in the love department. What I thought I knew so clearly, turns out to be shadowed and not what I thought at all. Currently my heart feels like it needs a great, big bandaid and maybe a strong shot of an adult beverage – maybe two.
Sheesh. But not to be undone on day two I’ll woman up and follow through. Here it goes.
Love Note To Me
Dear April,
You are worthy. You are worthy of love, attention and romance. Do you remember those hidden away days filled with love, devotion and room service? Those toe curling moments of thrilling anticipation, when reality trumped fantasy? Yeah, you deserve that and more.
Don’t forget that even in the darkest of times when you are struggling and uncertain of which way is up, you deserve to be held, comforted and loved. Remember that silence, neglect and reprimands are not ok when your world has gone topsy-turvy. Or ever.
Remember that love is a wondrous thing made even more wonderful when shared. Open your heart. Open your life to those who really, really LOVE you and want the BEST for you. Don’t be fooled by those who don’t. You know the ones, those who forget you as soon as you are out of sight quicker than yesterday’s latte.
So, buckle-up, Buttercup, and get ready to love and be loved and all the in-betweens because you are worthy.
