3 Ways you know it’s time to cut your hair

I’ve been in Houston for one year and two months and I’ve had my hair trimmed once and that was when my son insisted. He was a bit tired of seeing the braid that kept it off my neck, which is never a good look on me.

3 signs my hair is out of control

  1. Tossing hair up in a clip, ponytail or braid is the first sign my hair is out of control. It’s my go to habit of getting it out of the way when I’m on the go.
  2. The ends are so broken I can’t hide the fly-a-ways with gallons of product or flat iron them enough to hide the crime. And, yes, I know heat isn’t always a friend to colored hair. But, seriously, what’s a girl to do?
  3. When I try to make an effort my hair just falls into a mess of bipolar strands of straight, frizz and wayward waves. Uggg. Who wants that!?!

Yelp to the Help

After some thought and another bad hair day I turned to Yelp and began to sort through reviews; good, bad and the not so good.

I landed on Pari’s Gallery Hair Salon and Day Spa in Katy. The reviews were mixed but seemed to lean towards pretty good so I took the plunge making an appointment.

The salon is warm and welcoming. An astrology wheel is inlaid into the flooring greeting customers stepping through the doors. I loved it.

Amara, stylist and chemical specialist, welcomed me to her chair. We chatted and before I knew it my hair was washed, cut and feeling marvelous, Darling.

Product Line to Love

Kerastase Densifique

This line is designed to plump and strengthen fine fair. With a bit of mousse my hair had lift without the sticky feeling of product.

Thank you, Amara.

I made a follow-up appointment for color. I’m looking forward to seeing what magic she can do.

Sending you love and happiness.
