And I’m not talking about booze. I’m referring to online platforms, 24/7 extreme media and polarized politics. It’s INSANE.
Stepping back, focusing on the home front, and acting in kindness does my sanity good – and my family’s too. A happy mom makes a happy family (at least it’s a good place to start).
But, holy moly, the online stress out there is enough to have us all on antidepressants, curling up in a ball. And who wants that? What a way to the start of the year.
BE KIND BE LOVE
Getting back to basics just might be the ticket to ride out this turbulent beginning of 2021. Remember what we learned in kindergarten? Simple rules of behavior seems to have been tossed out in favor of a whole lot of ugliness and I think it’s time for us all to go back to school for a quick refresher. And naps. Lots of naps. Maybe we all need naps and just maybe wake up in better moods. No time? Then I’ll share a few pointers below that just might be promising:
- Play fair.
- Don’t hit people.
- Put things back where you found them.
- CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS.
- Don’t take things that aren’t yours.
- Say you’re SORRY when you HURT somebody.
- Wash your hands before you eat.
If nothing else, maybe we should all just try to be kind. Start at home. And let it flow from there.
Sending you love and lots of happiness. ❤️
Excellent list! One that I try to instil in my kids 🥰
If only we could have our adults revisit the list…☺️ Here’s to a happier January!
So true!!
