“Daffodils signal new beginnings, daisies innocence. Lilacs mean the first emotions of love, periwinkles tender recollection.” A Victorian Flower Dictionary: The Language of Flowers Companion
Our bouquet of kindness
Flowers are a beautiful way of expressing ourselves. Since forever and a day ago, flowers have been used to convey sentiments that go beyond words.
If I could send everyone a bouquet of kindness here’s what would be in my bouquet, all wrapped up in a rainbow of ribbons representing everyone in a big hug (ignoring social distancing).
- Lily-of-the-Valley, pretty little bell-shaped flowers, carry a message that stand for purity, happiness, luck, and humility.
- White Jasmine would be included for its sweet fragrance and its meaning of sweet love.
- Delicate sweet-peas promising pleasure would have to be included because, let’s face it, pleasure goes a long way towards encouraging kindness.
- I’d add a few purple crocus that symbolizes youthful happiness.
- Black-eyed Susan stand for justice, a feeling that seems to be ringing in the air.
- And red roses, for love and passion, would round out my bouquet of kindness.
Spreading Kindness
What’s in your bouquet? Or maybe a single rose is your thing? Whatever it is let’s spread kindness together.
Sending you love and happiness. ❤️
