Christmas is here! And I have one last day to post… day 1 of 7 counting down to Christmas with a creative gift idea, especially since the BIG day has arrived!
Sheesh, who has time to think about a last minute gift on Christmas Day with all the madness ensuing around the house? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
Let’s mirror a southern mama for a minute, shall we? Because it’s well documented that Southern hostesses always plan ahead for the unexpected visitor with extra stashes in the pantry. It’s just good manners. Ok, even if your not from the south believe it or not, you can make a darling gift basket (or bag) from pantry staples welcoming your surprised visitor. Here’s a few ideas to get you started.
Italian dinner: dried pasta, jar of pasta sauce, can of olives and a bottle of wine. Sprinkle in a few holiday chocolates and you have a very merry Christmas gift direct from your pantry to your happy, unexpected visitor.
Chocolate Lover: box of chocolates (regifting is perfectly ok plus you save the calories for pie – win, win), bottle of wine.
Wine: A bottle of wine is a fantastic gift all on its own. Wrap a ribbon around it, toss it in a gift bag and you have saved the day.
Here’s to a fabulous Christmas! Wishing you and your family sincere good wishes. May your home be filled with warmth and love.
Sending you love and happiness. ❤️
