Day 14 The Third Eye Chakra Speaks

Awakening Our Third Eye Chakra Inner Vision

Today, on day 14, we return to the Third Eye Chakra, Ajna, a space of intuition, clarity, and deeper understanding. It’s hard to believe we are almost half-way through the 30-Day Chakra Balancing Challenge. This chakra, glowing with indigo light, invites us to go beyond the surface and trust in the wisdom we hold within. Revisiting Ajna feels like checking in with an old friend—the one who always tells you the truth you didn’t know you needed to hear.

This morning’s oracle card pull brought layered and thought-provoking messages. From The Dream Weaver Oracle, “If the dogs come circling round” offered a message of self-awareness and boundaries. It reminded me that when life’s distractions (or metaphorical barking dogs) try to steer me off course, it’s my Third Eye that helps cut through the noise and stay focused on what truly matters. Paired with Self-Worth from The Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck, I was reminded of Ajna’s role in revealing my inner value—something that isn’t defined by external opinions but is rooted in my own clarity and truth. Together, these cards whispered: You already have the insight and worthiness within. Trust it, and don’t let outside chatter throw you off your path.

Third Eye Chakra Mudra and Mantra Practice

To further align with Ajna’s energy, I worked with the Third Eye Mudra and its mantra. Let me just say, mudras and I are slowly becoming friends. It’s less of a perfect symphony of finger yoga and more of a “wait, where does this finger go again?” kind of practice. After a few moments of double checking, I placed my hands gently on my thighs, palms facing up, with thumbs resting over my pinky fingers and pointing outward.

Day 14

As I sat there, I repeated the mantra OM, hoping to feel the much-promised clarity and focus. And sure, there were moments of calm, but then my dog decided this was the perfect time to plop his warm, furry body onto my lap. Instead of the pure, serene energy of the Third Eye, I think I ended up channeling dog snuggles with a side of OM. Hey, who’s to say that isn’t its own kind of spiritual practice?

Still, I’ll count it as a win. Whether it’s a shift in energy or a wagging tail, there’s something grounding about letting life happen as it is. And maybe clarity is less about perfection. It is more about making space for the moments we get, messy as they might be.

Exploring the Third Eye Chakra One Question at a Time

Guided by Rachel’s thoughtful prompts (seriously, where would I be without her?), I’m diving into these reflections with the Third Eye Chakra in mind. Ajna holds the key to unlocking intuition, clarity, and, apparently, my ability to stop second-guessing everything (fingers crossed!). Through these journal questions, I hope to explore my dreams, intuition, and fears. I also want to understand why my inner wisdom occasionally feels like it’s on a perpetual coffee break.

My goal? To coax my Third Eye into shining a little brighter, peeling back the layers of doubt, distraction, and “what ifs” so I can tap into the clarity and truth that’s been patiently waiting. If balance and insight are what I’m after, humor and a bit of awkward self-discovery will probably be my ticket there.

What recurring dreams or visions have I experienced, and what messages might they hold for me?

I DO NOT LIKE to dream. Dreams don’t feel restful—they’re more like a night shift I forgot to clock out of. Whenever I wake up after dreaming, it’s as if my brain ran a marathon while the rest of me stayed in bed. Most dreams disappear the moment I step out of bed, except for one recurring nightmare: snakes.

Not just regular snakes, either. We’re talking two-headed snakes slithering toward me and pits of snakes, Indiana Jones-level drama. My phobia of snakes dates back to when I was five and watched our brave German Shepherd step between me and a rattlesnake. Heroic? Yes. Traumatizing? Absolutely.

And while snakes are said to symbolize transformation, my dreams seem less “spiritual renewal” and more “how do I escape this nightmare ASAP?” What can I say? Maybe not exactly the answer to this prompt. Is there a right answer? If there is one, I’m sure this is the wrong one. Just saying. Thumbs down on dreams!

How do I perceive my intuition guiding me in my daily life, and how can I strengthen this connection?

My intuition often feels like a faint whisper saying, “Turn here” or “Pause and listen.” But hearing it clearly? That’s the tricky part. It’s easy to let logic drown it out or dismiss those quiet signals as random thoughts. Strengthening this connection means turning up the volume on my inner voice, practicing trust, and giving myself permission to follow those subtle hints instead of overthinking them away. Time to dial it up and let my intuition take the lead!

What fears or doubts do I have about trusting my inner wisdom, and how can I address them?

Sometimes, I question whether my instincts are valid. What if I misread them? But as I sit with Ajna’s energy, I realize these doubts are just fear masquerading as logic. Addressing them means practicing faith in my inner knowing and celebrating the times it leads me in the right direction.

In what ways can I enhance my ability to see beyond the physical world and connect with my higher self?

Enhancing my ability to connect with my higher self feels like a call to slow down and embrace more moments of reflection. Meditation, visualization, and even writing helps bridge the gap between the physical and the spiritual.

Rachel’s guide added a beautiful layer to this practice: Before going to bed tonight, take a few moments to sit quietly and set a clear intention to receive guidance or answers through your dreams. Silently affirm, “I invite insightful and meaningful dreams that provide clarity and understanding.”

And let me be clear. Snakes are absolutely NOT invited to this dream party. I’m drawing the line. No slithering, no hissing, no showing up unannounced. Universe, I’m trusting you to keep them out!

I can’t wait to see what insights surface and to share them tomorrow.

Ajna-Inspired Recipe: Indigo Baked Potato Medley

To honor the indigo energy of the Third Eye Chakra, here’s a comforting and vibrant dish. And yes, I know, I’ve already shared something similar in an earlier post. What can I say? Ajna’s energy keeps inspiring me, and apparently, my creativity in the kitchen leans heavily toward purple and delicious. Let’s just call it a theme instead of a repeat, shall we?

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium purple sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup baby purple potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese (optional, for a creamy contrast)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes and baby purple potatoes. Slice the sweet potatoes into thick rounds and halve the baby potatoes.
  3. Toss the potatoes in olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Spread them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast in the oven for 30–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and tender.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with feta cheese (if using) and fresh parsley.
  6. Serve warm, allowing the earthy, vibrant flavors to ground and nourish you while embracing Ajna’s energy.

Wrapping up Day 14

Revisiting the Third Eye Chakra today felt like clearing a foggy lens, allowing me to see life with more depth and clarity. Between the oracle cards, mudra and mantra practice, journaling, and even this vibrant recipe, Ajna reminded me that the answers I seek are already within—I just need to pause, trust, and listen. As I set my intention for dream guidance tonight, I feel excited to see what new insights tomorrow will bring.

Here’s to trusting my inner wisdom and keeping Ajna’s light shining bright.
