Today marks the beginning of something exciting—something meaningful. I’ve officially committed to the Living Life the Happy Way Chakra Challenge, and I couldn’t be more thrilled (and a tiny bit nervous)!
Note: This is a private Facebook chakra challenge. I will post about my journey along the way but will adhere to the privacy of other participants and nothing will be shared. If you would like to join or learn about other offerings from Living Life the Happy Way please find them here.
Let’s be real, starting anything new always carries a bit of uncertainty. And being vulnerable has its own kind of scary. But that’s part of the magic, isn’t it? Stepping into the unknown, trusting the process, and allowing yourself to grow along the way. Buckle up, because I am diving in to be as authentic and real with all the messy emotions, swear words as needed, and stories to go along with this month’s challenge.
So, here I am, saying it out loud and claiming it: I COMMIT.
Why I’m Here
When I first heard about the idea of this challenge, I felt an instant pull. Learning about the chakras—their energy, symbolism, and connection to our daily lives—feels like the perfect way to realign and reconnect with myself.
Over the next month, I’ll be focusing on:
- Eating mindfully to fuel my body and balance my energy.
- Cutting back on caffeine (uh, looking at you cup of coffee) and skipping alcohol (dang another dry month ahead!).
- Showing up every day, no matter what, to embrace growth and transformation.
It’s not just about following rules or completing tasks—it’s about prioritizing my well-being and spiritual connection. Are you ready for this? Me either, but here we go!
Today’s Task: Chakra Challenge Self-Assessment
As part of Day 1, we’re doing a self-assessment to check in with where we’re starting. Here’s what I’ve discovered about myself:
- Where I feel stuck: My brain is like a hamster on a wheel—except this hamster is hyped up on caffeine and running non-stop. Whether it’s writing, making decisions, or simply trying to relax, my thoughts insist on analyzing, over-analyzing, and then revisiting their analysis for good measure. It’s an endless loop that often leaves me frozen in place, staring at the ceiling like, “Seriously, brain? Can we chill for five minutes?”
- What I want to unblock: I want my creativity and intuition to come back from their mysterious sabbatical. They’ve been MIA lately, and honestly, I think overthinking scared them off. My goal is to clear the mental clutter, roll out the red carpet, and warmly invite these trusty companions back into my life. Creativity deserves to shine, and intuition? Well, it could save me from overthinking what to eat for breakfast, let alone the bigger decisions.
- My goal for this challenge: To find balance—not just in my chakras, but in my daily life. Imagine a world where my mind isn’t staging a one-act play of every possible scenario, and I can actually enjoy the moment. Balance, to me, is grounding myself, creating space for clarity, and letting my creativity and intuition take the driver’s seat while my overthinking takes a much-needed vacation. Here’s to embracing the chaos, but gently nudging it into a more harmonious groove!
Getting started with the Chakra Challenge
This morning began with a quiet ritual of reflection, setting the tone for the day as I pulled a few cards. To my surprise, every card turned out to be a 1—a delightful synchronicity that felt like the universe chuckling softly, nudging me forward with a playful yet purposeful wink.
In numerology, the number 1 signifies new beginnings, independence, and the spark of creation. It’s the energy of fresh starts, bold decisions, and taking those first steps into something transformative. How fitting that this message arrives today, coinciding with the start of the Chakra Challenge — a journey of self-discovery and alignment. This serendipitous moment feels like an invitation to embrace the path ahead with curiosity, focus, and trust.
The cards themselves echoed the themes of the challenge beautifully. From the Dream Weaver’s Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid, “When the Storm Spirits Play” reminded me to find resilience. It highlighted transformation through moments of chaos or imbalance. This is perfect guidance as we explore the unblocking and balancing of chakras. From the Feminine Wisdom Oracle by Lea Androic, “Determination – Intention to Achieve” emphasized committing fully to this process. It stressed the significance regardless of how busy or uncertain life may get.

Looking Ahead
Together, these insights set a powerful foundation for the day and the challenge. They reminded me to approach this month-long journey with an open heart. I was also encouraged to have a clear mind and a willingness to show up. Just like the chakras themselves, today’s synchronicity is a reminder that every small step and moment of intention contributes to greater balance and growth.
I’m eager to dive deeper into learning about the chakras. I want to explore how they influence my emotions, habits, and overall energy. I know this journey won’t always be easy. However, I’m committed to showing up. I will embrace the process and celebrate every small win along the way.
To everyone else participating: we’re in this together! Let’s support each other, share our experiences, and create something powerful.
And to wrap this up the same way I started: I COMMIT.
Here’s to an incredible month of growth, discovery, and balance.
