Turning The Last Calendar Page

Hello, December 2020!

Standing in front of my fridge, I snapped the large silver, clip magnet to the very last page of my 2020 monthly calendar. December is here. How are you feeling now that we are turning the last calendar page?

Exhilarated? Excited? Exhausted?

All of the above?

I hear you. It’s been a year of twisty turns, hasn’t it? For some it’s a year of record loss and for others a year of just getting by. But one thing for sure is that each of us has been impacted in one way or another this year of the pandemic. So, what’s a girl to do? Relax into winter.

Winter’s Cycle

Each season allows us new opportunity to explore gifts offered up with the changing cycles. As the last calendar page turns to December, I absolutely love diving into cozy winter vibes, decorating for the holiday ahead and getting my hands sticky with mixing up scrumptious treats to share. It’s also a good time for embracing the shorter days with playtime fun and adventure. If your stuck for ideas pop over to Adventure Wednesdays for some fun with Stacey. I’m sure you’ll be inspired. But the most important thing here is to relax, let go of expectations (harder to do than said, I know) and fully appreciate the here and now.

Present

Being present, being mindful, is all the rage. You hear about it, or some form of it, popping up in mainstream media to social media. Heavens, even large corporations are embracing it this year and paying subscriptions to apps like Headspace for their employees because it’s that important. And I agree. But being present is more than meditation. For me it’s enjoying the NOW. And how best to enjoy the here and now?

Bake cookies!
My gift (or present- get it😊) to you is a simple peanut butter cookie recipe to get you into the moment. And what’s even better, grab someone you love and share the present with them…and don’t forget to savor a few fresh baked cookies fresh out of the oven! Now that’s what I call being present.

Sending you love and happiness. ❤️
