Day 7 of 14 affirmation challenge is reminding me to be a better receiver, that miraculous gifts are on the way. 🙏 Sometimes I’m like that terrible two-year-old demanding to do it myself no matter the fumbled results. And who wants that? I’ve been noticing this reoccurring theme coming up a lot for me lately. And it’s time to shift.
I have a stubborn, independent streak so ingrained, blocking God’s gifts because I’m a grown-ass woman who should manage things on her own because that’s what I was taught, told and shamed into believing. Full STOP.
Is that true?
No. The perfectionist inside me wants me to believe that’s true. My past significant relationships, instead of being a place of collaboration, reinforced the necessity of manging my safety, esteem, and survival ON MY OWN
But the truth is we all need help at times. We all need to be open to gifts from others and from the Universe to help us. We aren’t meant to go it alone. Today’s affirmation reminds me to be open. That it’s ok for this grown-ass woman to ask for help and there is no shame in it. That it is ok to be open and receptive to receiving God’s gifts and sometimes this happens in the form of earth’s angels helping.❤️
