Once upon a time ago, I began my professional life as a young graphic designer. This small, but very demanding position, developed skills that I have used throughout my career; excellent communication and visual presentation skills, ability to interact with a variety of clients at all levels and, most of all, it taught me how to graciously receive feedback (both good and bad – especially the bad) which I had to successfully incorporate into the project. Not always easy to do, especially with the old adage ‘garbage in, garbage out’, but looking back some of the best development opportunities which allowed me to build on throughout the growing years.
Gracious: Marked by kindness and courtesy
This is not a commonly recognized skillset in the competitive oil and gas market. But how we react and adapt to a situation, especially one that is filled with challenges and heavy costs, speaks volumes. If met graciously, those difficult challenges can be typically be mitigated and turned into wins for everyone. And that can be a game changer.
Sending you love and happiness. ❤️
