I live a small life, a quiet life, really.
I don’t come from a place with deep roots. There is a saying “grow where you are planted”. It’s something I’ve lived by for most my life. So here I am trying to make a place for myself.
My current garden is kinda filled with rocks and lots and lots and lots of asphalt filled with traffic. Even on Saturday. I’m doing my best to work with it.
But between the traffic and city noise there are havens that I’m finding that makes the drive worth it – almost.
After a crepe and latte I head to one of my favorite places for flowers, Trader Joe’s. It’s a magical place filled with yummy deliciousness. People scour the isles with laughter and happiness bubbling up with each find. It’s a happy place.
Flowers make me happy. We should do more of that… what’s make us happy.
I wanted to go to a greenhouse but the traffic made me rethink that plan. Instead I picked up a new sprinkler at Target since I broke mine earlier this morning trying to water my lawn.
I take my shoes off and step into the yard turning the water on to watch it coat the stiff, thirsty grass. It reminded me of ‘grounding‘ and all the health benefits of reconnecting to the earth. I need to do more of it.
I’m enjoying my little bit of the world thinking about my mantra “health, wealth, love and perfect self-expression”. It’s a goal, a mantra, and a wish too for me, for you, for everyone.
By remembering who we are, what we love, we create our lives wherever we are.
Sending you love and happiness.
